Conference Introduction：

From June 6 to 8, the 10th National Academic and Industry Conference on Smart Pharmaceutical Manufacturing was held in Tianjin. It was hosted by the State Key Laboratory of Modern Traditional Chinese Medicine Innovation, and undertaken by the Pharmaceutical Engineering Branch of China Association of Chinese Medicine and the Specialized Committee on Intelligent Manufacturing of Traditional Chinese Medicine of China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

At the opening ceremony, Professor Zhang Boli systematically expounded his thoughts on the path of in-depth integration of AI and the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) industry:First, AI empowerment for the TCM industry is an irresistible general trend. We should take proactive actions while staying down-to-earth.Second, the pace of digital and intelligent transformation in the pharmaceutical industry should be actively advanced while tailored to actual conditions.Third, for breakthroughs in key technologies of digital and intelligent pharmaceutical manufacturing, we should make focused breakthroughs while promoting collaborative sharing.Fourth, the digital and intelligent transformation of the pharmaceutical industry should be driven by innovation while delivering value upgrading for enterprises.

Centering on Professor Zhang’s important assertions such as "breakthroughs in key technologies of digital and intelligent pharmaceutical manufacturing require both focused breakthroughs and collaborative sharing" and "digital and intelligent transformation should bring value upgrading to enterprises", He Zhizhen, Chairman of Chanse Technology, delivered a keynote speech entitled Digital Innovation Drives the Future of Traditional Chinese Medicine Production. He conducted an in-depth analysis of industry pain points and systematically expounded the path of digital and intelligent transformation, demonstrating Chanse Technology’s technical strength and industry-leading role in empowering the intelligent upgrading of the TCM industry.

Mr. He emphasized in his speech that the key to putting the in-depth integration path of AI and the TCM industry into practice lies in utilizing intelligent equipment and process optimization to build a precise control system covering the entire process of TCM production. This can not only significantly improve the stability of product quality and production efficiency, but also serve as the core technical path to promote the automation, digitalization and intelligent upgrading of TCM manufacturing.

Mr. He particularly pointed out that key technologies such as online monitoring, data modeling and intelligent control can effectively address the quality control difficulties and process standardization bottlenecks in traditional TCM production, bringing tangible cost reduction, efficiency improvement and value upgrading for enterprises. This is exactly the perfect combination of "innovation-driven" and "value realization" emphasized by this conference.

This practical path will surely inject strong new momentum into breaking through the limitations of traditional production models and promoting the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry.

Alongside the conference, multiple events were held, including the Forum on Digital Transformation Path and Practical Exploration of the TCM Industry Chain, the Forum on Cross-Innovation of New TCM Technologies, the Forum on Key Technologies of Scientific Regulation and Standardization of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Academic Exchange Meeting for Young Scientists. It is expected that all participating sectors will take this grand event as a starting point, work together to develop new quality productive forces for traditional Chinese medicine, inject strong momentum into TCM modernization, and jointly draw a grand blueprint for the cause and industry of "artificial intelligence + pharmaceuticals".
