Optical Coherence Tomography
Online coating film measurement is a fast, direct measurement technique that uses refractive index variations in different structures to acquire cross-sectional images. Evaluation of these images provides average coating thickness, inter-tablet and intra-tablet thickness variability (CoV), surface roughness, and coating film uniformity. During R&D and production, deeper insight into the coating process can be gained, helping to improve the coating quality of each batch, independent of processing equipment and production scale.
